We are proud to house a defribrillator on our school premises. The defibrillator was installed by our previous headteacher, Mrs Collicott, and the sports councillors from each class with our newly installed defibrillator in May 2018.
The sports councillors organised a sponsored walk - which altogether raised £3,000 - to fund the installation of the defibrillator at school. Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are vital tools that give a high-energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest.
Heart Start Scheme co-ordinator Dr Nick Young was recently invited to talk to pupils at the school.
